We have created this site to keep friends and family updated on our adoption journey.
Shane and I have been going through the adoption process since about May of last year, at that time we had decided on China. We completed tons of paperwork, homestudies, doctors appointments among a billion other things, in order to adopt a little girl from China. We sent all of our paperwork in to our agency in October and were "logged in" to the system in China on 12/4/06. When we began this process our wait was said to be about 10 months.....long, but not to bad. As months passed the wait has grown longer and longer, and we were looking at about 2 years before bringing our daughter home. After lots of talks and a ton of research, we have decided on switching programs....we are now planning on adopting a little girl from Vietnam!
If everything goes as planned, we will have her home this year!!
A lot of people ask us...why adoption? We have always talked about adopting, and after having Aiden in December of 2003, and his leukemia diagnosis when he was just one year old and being so thankful and blessed that God had healed him, we knew we had to follow our dream to adopt. Shane, Phenix, Aiden, and I are so excited to bring this little one home and give her all of the love in the world.
I will try to keep everyone updated!!!
Thanks,
Tiffany
